I woke up this afternoon to my dining room being unusually warm; I was not sure if I had turned the AC on the night before, but I knew that something wasn’t right! My second thought was if I had developed a fever overnight. Maybe I was just moderate and there was nothing wrong with the AC. I walked over to the window component AC and tried to turn it on, then there was nothing happening. I unjammed it and jammed it back in. When I did I noticed that the green light came on, however there was no noise or air coming from the window component AC. I didn’t panic immediately until I realized that it was the beginning of a holiday weekend and that there was a heatwave coming through. I immediately called my proprietor and told her what was going on. After a long time of back and forth, my proprietor told me that she would send someone out that afternoon. I could tell that she was not thrilled about this because she kept saying how the rates for an Heating and Air Conditioning professional would be much higher because it was the weekend, and she knew that I would be without AC and she still tried to save a few dollars by sending her sibling out first instead of a real Heating and Air Conditioning professional. I was so angry with her at this point that I told her not to worry about it and I would go stay with my friends and she could prorate my rent.
