My sibling finally moved out of our parents apartment last fall & he actually has enjoyed residing on his own. I thought at one point he was going to live with them forever because he is already in his mid-twenties, but his apartment is actually cute & throughout the winter, he was totally comfortable because the apartment has a great heater. Now, that the summer time has arrived, he is consistently complaining about the fact that he doesn’t have air conditioner. My Mom told his that he had a couple of possibilities when it came to making his stadium more comfortable, he could try using fans to cool off or purchase a window air conditioner & he could install it for her. She actually liked the idea of a window air conditioner but knew he would have to get permission from his landlord first. He wasn’t delighted with the idea if it was going to disrupt the woodwork for the window but said that if it didn’t, he would allow it. The next step was to find a unit that would cool his apartment & fit into the window in his residing room. This was hard because the windows were slender. After searching they finally found one & my sibling was happy to get it put in & running. Mom went over & it only took a couple of hours. Although he lost the ability to see out of the window, he is fine with it. Window air conditioners are a great way to get all the benefits of a central Heating, Ventilation & A/C system in spaces that you either rent, or that are not designed to have air duct installed.
