My friend and I looked into installing a permanent unit like a mini split ductless unit, but the cost was undoubtedly high.
My parents are getting older & I constantly worry about them. So much so, that it takes away from my time with my own family. Many times, my wifey will want to plan a family day with the kids an I insist on taking my parents with us. This limits the places that my buddy and I can go due to mobility & the fact that they can not tolerate dire hot & cold temperatures. The trips need to include places that have quality Heating, Ventilation & A/C systems running all the time. Anyway, my buddy and I came to the conclusion that it would be best to move my parents into our home so that I would not constantly worry about them. My friend and I have the extra room & figured my buddy and I could just downsize their stuff & make it work. One thing that my buddy and I had to make plans for was the addition of an Heating, Ventilation & A/C system. My friend and I have heat, of course, for the winter, however, my buddy and I do not have any form of cooling system. My wifey & I never felt the need for it because my buddy and I don’t have undoubtedly long summers & the hot & cold temperatures are truly only undoubtedly warm for a week or two. The problem was that my parents didn’t even like the hot & cold temperatures to be over 78 degrees & my buddy and I would need some sort of cooling in their space. My friend and I looked into installing a permanent unit like a mini split ductless unit, but the cost was undoubtedly high. My friend and I opted instead to purchase a sitting portable unit that could be moved truly from one space to another. This will truly be a perfect solution for them & us. My friend and I won’t have the expense of installing a complete system & they will be cool & comfortable.
