When she told me that she wanted to volunteer at the local animal shelter I knew it wouldn’t be long before she brought house a new friend, but girl was I relieved when it was a puppy and not a lizard or something. Anyway, this puppy is an eight week outdated shepard mix and she named him Oscar. She is cute as can be however there is one immense problem that she didn’t consider. She has no air conditioning in her dwelling and she was going to be cooped up there all afternoon while she was at work. At times her locale get up to eighty five degrees and she doesn’t live where she can just leave the windows open. It isn’t the best neighborhood and that was the other reason she wanted the cat. We started looking for solutions online to the problem and found that they make personal cooling devices that can be blocked in without a vent. They are basically small swamp coolers that use evaporation to cool a space. They aren’t genuinely powerful but, if she blocked it in next to Oscar’s crate, it would keep him comfortable while she was away. We ordered it from a website and it should be here in a couple of afternoons. In the meantime I will be stopping by to take Oscar for a walk and giving him a cool drink a couple of times a afternoon. I don’t mind because she legitimately is genuinely cute and loveable too.
