Last year my mom got us a new thermostat for Christmas.
We had been thinking about getting a new thermostat for the house for a while, but we had not gotten around to it.
My mom knew that we were going to try and buy a new thermostat but she decided that she was going to get it for us instead. Whenever she told us that she was thinking about getting one for us instead, we were pretty happy about it. We knew that we weren’t going to be able to find one that we could afford ourselves, that’s for sure. We were having lots of money troubles and we knew that we were going to have to wait a while to purchase one because we just didn’t have any money. We were thinking about the fact that we needed a thermostat for quite a while, but since we were working with a strict budget, we just kept on dealing with the one that we had. Even though we were having some really high energy bills, we still didn’t make it a priority to get the thermostat changed because we figured it was better to pay higher energy costs than to pay a lot for a thermostat and to get it installed. My mom took it upon herself to do a lot of research and to find just the right thermostat for us. Whenever we got the new one installed, we really started to save a lot of money on our heating and cooling bills! I’m so glad we got the new thermostat.
