I don’t mind going to work in an actual office. I used to work from home and sometimes that had its ups and downs. When I worked from home I was often distracted by my niece that I used to babysit. I realized that when she was asleep that was when I would get most of my work done and feel the most productive. I didn’t want to tell my sister-in-law that I couldn’t babysit her daughter. But there were times that I wanted to. During hot summer days I would turn on my ceiling fan and my portable windowsill air conditioner. Since I have my own working space in my own office off of my bedroom, I found it necessary to use that type of air conditioner than turning on my whole HVAC system. However when it was extremely hot out and I wasn’t in my office but doing things around the house, I would turn on the air conditioning unit through my programmable thermostat. Now that I have started a new job and work in an actual office, I recently experienced a portable air conditioning unit on wheels. This surprised me when I walked into my office last week since I’ve never seen one before. I was a little confused as to why it was in my office because normally there is central heating and air that heats and cools the whole office building. The HVAC technician told me that they were inspecting the HVAC system and repairing some leakage that was in the ductwork system.
