My mom got us a smart thermostat for our anniversary last year whenever we were celebrating ten years together.
Even though we have been married for 10 years now, we still don’t really have it all together.
That is especially true when it comes to our house. We just moved into a new place that is really a fixer upper. We saved up money for years to be able to afford a down payment on the perfect house, and even though we love the place, there is a lot of work to be done on it. We purchased it because of the way that it’s in the perfect location and it even has a little stream running through the back yard. In other words, the place has a whole lot of potential. The problem is that it’s not all that great right now. We had already been working on it for a year when our tenth anniversary came up. When my mom asked us what we wanted for our anniversary, I think she thought that we would want to go out to dinner or to go away for the weekend or something like that. Instead, we told her that we really just wanted something to help us get finished with our house. At that time of the renovations that we were doing, we were in the middle of working on the heating and cooling system. We had already put in some new ductwork, and so we were thinking about getting a new thermostat of some sort at the same time. When my mom found out about the new thermostat, she decided to purchase one for us herself. She ended up purchasing the very best smart thermostat on the market for us.
