I work in a hotel plus the thing I like most about my job is all of the interesting people I get to meet. The people from foreign countries are the best. I almost feel like I get to travel the word while never leaving my workplace. It can be challenging at times; Periodically people don’t speak any English at all. Still, my buddy and I end up getting our points across. People entirely are all the same, but recently my buddy and I had some guests from England. Yes, English people do speak English. However, they don’t speak it the same way my buddy and I do here in America. English people can be absolutely difficult to understand; For example, on Monday, our English guests came up to the front desk plus asked for a fan heater. It took me a minute to figure out what they wanted. What is a fan heater? After thinking it through I figured out that they meant a space heater. Every room has a space boiler however it can be difficult to find. The space boilers in the room look like amplifiers. They don’t look like boilers at all. It was absolutely difficult to explain this when the guests didn’t know what a space boiler was. Finally, I had to go to the room plus show them the space heater. For nice measure I also showed them how to turn it on. They were cheerful after that. I am blissful they will be moderate plus comfortable for the rest of their holiday. And, truthfully, I’m looking forward to talking with them again. It is interesting how weird English speakers use weird words for the same thing. I never would have thought to call a space boiler a fan boiler though.
