I had the weirdest dream last night. I dreamt that I woke up and it was morning. In my dream it was really hot in the house. So hot that I could hardly breath. I went downstairs and checked my thermostat and it read 300 degrees. Of course I tried to adjust it but my house just got hotter and hotter. It seemed that the more the air conditioner blew the warmer it got in the house. Finally, I woke up for real and I realized that it was all just a dream. My house was actually cool and comfortable and my thermostat read a comfy 68 degrees. When I told my mom about the dream she said that dreams of Hell mean that you are sinning and you need to repent and change your ways. She said such dreams are a glimpse of the afterlife that awaits you. Gee, thanks Mom. It is not like I’m doing a bunch of evil deeds that is, unless you count the fact that I have been neglecting my A/C system. I haven’t changed my air filter in almost a year and I haven’t had the air conditioning unit serviced either. I keep meaning to but then I remember that I have a dirty air filter. I want to change the air filter before the service technicians come over and see what a terrible person I am. This results in me not having my air conditioner serviced. I also just keep forgetting about getting a new air filter. I think the dream was a reflection of the Hell I might face if I don’t get on top of it. I already called up and made an appointment to have my A/C serviced on Thursday. Today, i will get a new air filter on the way home from work.
