Zoned Heating plus A/C is all about practicality

I absolutely want to get zoned Heating plus A/C for this aged house.

My friend and I have lived here for over 6 years now plus my associate and I are never comfortable, then to start with, it is consistently way hotter upstairs than it is downstairs.

There is about 10 degrees difference in temperature, and i know that tepid air rises, and but I absolutely would like for it to be comfortable both downstairs plus upstairs at the same time. I feel that a zoned Heating plus A/C system would be able to help with that, however another issue I feel zoned Heating plus A/C would be able to help with is our high electric bill. I was looking at energy saving tips for Heating plus A/C plus I discovered that it is recommended that you turn the thermostats down in rooms that aren’t being used. It is not recommended that you close off the vents entirely. However, you can make it around 69 degrees in the summer time plus 56 degrees in the winter season in rooms you aren’t using. My friend and I have 2 rooms my associate and I don’t use in this house, then one is mostly just storage plus the other my associate and I use whenever my associate and I have guests. My friend and I only have guests once or twice a year, but so if my associate and I got a zoned Heating plus A/C for the household then my associate and I could set the upstairs to a comfortable temperature, the downstairs to a comfortable temperature, plus the unused room to energy saving hot plus cold temperatures. It would be perfect, now I just need to convince my fiance that a zoned Heating plus A/C system would honestly save us cash in the long run. She doesn’t like spending cash for comfort. It has to be for practical reasons. Trust me, I can help him understand that zoned Heating plus A/C is all about practicality.
