I am currently looking to purchase a household for the first time, but i have seen over twenty homes & I have narrowed my search down to my two number one homes, but the only major difference between the two homes I appreciate is that one has a gas fireplace & one has an electric fireplace.
They are similar in other ways.
The locations are superb for both, they both have a similar square footage, yard space, & layout. They both have central heat & air conditioning. I did not have a fireplace growing up so I had to do some research to see the pros & cons of a gas fireplace & an electric fireplace so I could make my decision a little bit easier. The first pro that comes to mind when I guess of a gas fireplace is the sight, sound, & smell. I have always appreciated sitting by a campfire growing up, & a gas fireplace could replicate that feeling in my home, and another pro of a gas fireplace is that it can heat a sizable room relatively suddenly. The gas fireplace is in the living room of my potential household which is a sizable room. A con of a gas fireplace is it can be a safety issue especially if I decide to have children one day.If the gas fireplace is not ran tests on or installed properly, it can give off harmful & toxic emissions. A pro of an electric fireplace is that it does not give off harmful emissions, so it is considered to be safer. A con of electric fireplaces is that they do not heat as suddenly or as much space as gas fireplaces do.
