I swear that things go wrong during the worst times, then i have had the same car for over ten years now, & I prefer it.
I bought it when it was about three years old, & it has absolutely been a great little car for me.
It does great on gas mileage, & it has not had any issues until now! Yesterday started the whole downhill process. It started with the transmission. It was having trouble, so I found a transmission at a junkyard for only $100 & put it in my car. It is doing great now, however three afternoons ago, I was driving to work when I noticed that the heat in my car was not laboring. I have never had any trouble with my heater. It has always done a great job keeping me warm. I actually have not had any Heating & Air Conditioning issues with my car until now. I do not know anything about electric work or the Heating & Air Conditioning systems in cars, so I do not even know where to start. I called a few mechanics in my area, & they all provided me their prices. I cannot assume how expensive it will be to get my Heating & Air Conditioning system fixed. I am debating on just selling the car & buying a modern one. It will cost more money in the end, however at least I will have a modern vehicle, and my dad is a pretty wonderful backyard mechanic, & she said that she would be willing to take a look at it for me even though Heating & Air Conditioning work is her least number one. If my dad cannot figure out how to fix it after that we will absolutely just get a modern car.
