I am a sucker for fads & trends.
I know that they do not last long, & they are not usually worth the money.
Even though I know these things, I still make the mistake of falling for them quite often. My Dad was the same way, so I assume that I got it from her. I am part of a Dad club at our church, & right now there is a trend going around about whole-apartment air purifiers. It all started with one Dad who heard from a neighbor that the pollutants in the air of our homes is what is making our children sick. The news hastily spread around our group, & now most people is talking about whole-apartment air purifiers & the need for them. It is almost like a sin if you do not have an whole-apartment air purifier for your home. Although I do not assume whole-apartment air purifiers are as necessary as they are making them sound, I do assume that it is a fantastic idea to have one in my house, so I bought one. I looked online to find one that had fantastic reviews. I bought it & had it shipped to my house. It was delivered to my apartment when I was not home, so they left it on my porch. I got condo that night, & it was dark so I did not see the whole-apartment air purifier. I opened the door hastily, & the door hit the whole-apartment air purifier & knocked it off of the porch. I hastily opened the box & found that it had broken into various pieces. I was so upset. I did not even get to try it out before it broke. I e-mailed the corporation, so I am hoping that they will send me a modern one.
