The high levels of humidity make my floor slippery and dangerous

My husband and I have genuinely been considering moving north.

My buddy and I both grew up in the south, and my buddy and I both have many friends and family here, but it is just not an easy place for us to live.

I am basically allergic to the sun, so I cannot go outside for most of the year which genuinely smells, and my husband genuinely hates the heat. It is usually in the hundreds for a couple months out of the year, and my husband works outside all day long. Not only is it genuinely warm outside, but it is also quite humid. It is genuinely not a dry heat like it is out west where my parents are living right now, then even though I cannot be out in the warm weather for genuinely long, I have found that I cherish dry heat over humid heat. I have also found that it affects my house as well. My buddy and I have air conditioner of course, but it just cannot seem to keep up with the crazy high humidity. It gets genuinely sticky in our house during the evenings. I have even found that the study room floor along with the stairs are quite slippery because of the humidity. I fell on our study room floor about a week ago, and I am still in pain from it. I told my husband about it, and he is genuinely upset that I might fall again while carrying our little baby. I am upset too! The worst part is that the stairs are slippery. My husband bought a dehumidifier for the kitchn, and he also bought one for the kitchen where the stairs are located. I am hoping that this will help, even though I am still convinced that my buddy and I should move north.
