Buying an older place and figuring out when to replace air conditioner

My fiance and I recently moved out of our 3 kitchen home, our cabin-like home was easily nice and quaint, but it was not fit for starting a family! My fiance and I just got married about a year ago and we’re looking to settle down into a greater home to start having youngsters.

My pal and I recently purchased a home right near the beach to accommodate the activities that my pal and I cherish doing and all the amenities that the household came with! Because my pal and I live more south than our old house, my pal and I can still get away with using an air conditioner than a heat pump, however if my pal and I moved 500 miles more down south after that I entirely should have chosen a heat pump.

But since geographically an a/c will work just as well, in our modern home my pal and I decided that my pal and I should entirely replace and replace the air conditioner that has already been in the home because it looks easily old. I was told from my old HVAC specialist that an HVAC system should be replaced every 20 years, depending on the condition and longevity of the system. I hired an HVAC specialist to come take a look at the air conditioner system that my pal and I have; Some advice that he provided us when determining whether a air conditioner should be replaced is if the system needs frequent repairs from an HVAC specialist, if my pal and I see an increase in our cooling bills due to our system laboring inefficiently. There were several reasons, but most pressingly I was told to have an HVAC specialist assess your air conditioner first before you make any decisions on replacing it.
