Buying an older cabin and figuring out when to update air conditioner

My wife and I recently moved out of our 3 living room home, however our cabin-like house was easily nice and quaint, however it was not fit for starting a family; My wife and I just got married about a year ago and we’re looking to settle down into a bigger house to start having youngsters, and we recently purchased a house right near the beach to accommodate the activities that my buddy and I adore doing and all the amenities that the cabin came with, however because my buddy and I live more south than our old house, my buddy and I can still get away with using an air conditioner than a heat pump… However if my buddy and I moved 500 miles more down south then I genuinely should have chosen a heat pump.

But since geographically an air conditioner will labor just as well; In our new house my buddy and I decided that my buddy and I should genuinely update and update the air conditioner that has already been in the house because it looks easily old.

I was told from my old Heating and A/C serviceman that an Heating and A/C system should be updated every 20 years, depending on the condition and longevity of the system. I hired an Heating and A/C serviceman to come take a look at the air conditioner that my buddy and I have, and some advice that he gave us when determining whether a air conditioner should be updated is if the system needs frequent repairs from an Heating and A/C serviceman, if my buddy and I see an increase in our cooling bills due to our system working inefficiently! There were many reasons, however most importantly I was told to have an Heating and A/C serviceman assess your air conditioner first before you make any decisions on replacing it.
