I just moved into my new home. I wouldn’t say it’s new, I would have to say that it’s new to me since I have never lived in my own home before. This is a big step for me and I am just starting to learn a lot of the intricacies and responsibilities of owning a home. Just the other day I had to do some research on my HVAC system. I had a feeling that when I bought the house, that I would have to do some heavy maintenance work with the heating and cooling system. I know that eventually, most likely within the next two years I’m going to have to replace it. I talked to a local HVAC technician to receive some insight on what I can do to maintenance my heating and cooling system so I can hold off on replacing the HVAC system. He told me that I would have to keep up with the maintenance by changing the air filters, scheduling maintenance cleaning appointments and tune up appointments. Some of these things I have never heard of before, things like this are certainly showing me the responsibilities of a home. The HVAC technician talked for a good ten minutes on the phone about their services and what they offer. I was grateful as I understood a little better. The HVAC technician even offered a free consultation without any charge, to come take a look at my HVAC system and suggest and recommend the services that I would need and not need.
