Writing down hvac appointments on paper is beneficial

A prime example of this happened when my sister called me yesterday crying because she forgot her heating and cooling appointment with her local heating and cooling technician and she wasn’t home.

Call me old-fashioned, but I still do a lot of things that are more of the traditional ways. For example I like to buy a newspaper in the morning and catch up on current events. I also like to have a paper calendar and write down things that I’m doing or places that I’m going, instead of keeping a digital reminder on my phone. My sister likes to make fun of me because she is very digital. She will do her reading on her phone by downloading apps and she will also do her entire calendar on her phone. I’m the complete opposite and like having papers and writing things down. I believe it’s more effective and it helps me to stay on top of things that need to be done. Whereas having things set digitally may not work or you may forget much more easily. A prime example of this happened when my sister called me yesterday crying because she forgot her heating and cooling appointment with her local heating and cooling technician and she wasn’t home. She said because she wasn’t home and they charged her $50 no show up fee. I asked her if she added the heating and cooling appointment to her calendar and she said she did it digitally but got a new phone last week and everything on her calendar did not transfer over to her new phone. I told her that she should call the local heating and cooling company to see if they could refund the $50 if she rescheduled with the heating and cooling technician. I told her that’s why I like to have an actual calendar in my home so I can visually see it without having to open an app.
