I have a friend that is super handy however cheap and lazy… He never does the quality of toil that he is capable of… The guy can fix anything. He is fantastic in electrical, plumbing and Heating and A/C. The guy even worked for a building business for a few years, but in the end, he legitimately just wanted to get on disability and milk the government for money. His dream is to live without having to work, however well he married himself to a nice older lady that takes care of the bills and he just squats at her house. The downside to his dream is that he is at the home all afternoon. His partner keeps trying to get him to do handy stuff around the house. I saw his newest fix which was the height of laziness and just awful. The roof had obviously leaked to the point of getting a giant hole in it. His partner wanted him to fix the roof or hire a roofing business. Instead he used a funnel and a garden hose to filter out the water from the house. He also put up a tarp over the hole. There, done, he said. Isn’t that awful? Can you imagine how frosty the home must get in the winter? The water harm in the ceiling that is going to happen? I talked to his partner and said that she needed to hire professional roofers, but she keeps thinking her man is going to step up and do the job. She can forget it! No way will he get off his butt and do the work.
